About Emmas Garden

I created this blog to vent my frustrations online initially but over time it became a really good way of sharing my genuine thoughts with friends, Family and hopefully the others who land on my blog somehow. I try to be as open about my thoughts as possible. You might have already guessed im from the middle east. Well, not completely but a part of me is. My mother was a Iranian and Dad was french both of them together don't follow any ideology so that influenced my behavior a lot. Growing up i had two sisters and a brother, Yes we were a big family. But i lost a sister when i was 13. She had cancer. This was the moment in my life where everything changed. My family started to fall apart after her death. My dad kept blaming my mother for trying to take her to some religious imams who did more harm than good. Well, fast forward 6 years and here i am writing on this blog as i work at starbucks here in Long Island. I'm very far away from my home in Austin, Texas but i'm having the time of my life. On this blog you will see many mostly write about the arab world and the liberation movement of women in this region.

Hope you enjoy your stay!
